Light Reading reports the developer UUX as saying that it has supplied Hungarian mobile operator Telenor Hungary (formerly Pannon) with a turnkey, Internet TV as-a-Service (iTaaS) platform, enabling the cellco to offer its subscribers a fully-featured service – dubbed MyTV – and providing live and catch-up TV, and video-on-demand (VoD) content that can be accessed on all internet connected devices and screens. As such, UUX is providing its ‘intelligent’ iTaaS cloud-streaming platform to manage and support ‘millions of daily multiscreen interactions’, it said. The MyTV service comes with 14 channels covering news, children’s TV, sports and general interest programming, including AXN, AXN White, AXN Black, DUNA, DUNA WORLD, Fashion Box, FilmBox, FilmBox Arthouse, FilmBox Extra, M1, M2, Sundance channel, Story4, Story5, with more to be added in the near future. Telenor Hungary users signing up to MyTV will have unlimited access free of charge for the first three months.
