Russian telecoms giant MegaFon has released a brief statement confirming that it has completed the integration of Yugratel and Synterra-South into its broadband-focused holding company NetByNet.

According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, NetByNet was acquired by MegaFon for USD270 million in June 2011, in a deal that effectively paved the way for the cellco’s long-coveted entrance into the lucrative Moscow broadband market.

Subsequent years have seen MegaFon transfer its various broadband assets across to the Moscow-based firm. Siberia-based Yugratel was acquired in December 2011, while a deal for Synterra was struck in June 2010.
