German mobile operator E-Plus has announced that it will offer all of its customers the highest possible data rates available on its 3.5G network between December and mid-2014, regardless of their tariff plan and at no additional cost. E-Plus claims that its 3.5G network covers over 80% of the population, with Dual Carrier (DC)-HSPA+ download speeds of up to 42.2Mbps expected to be available to 75% of Germans by the end of the year. The company also announced that it is planning to launch its 4G LTE network in March 2014.
