Unitymedia, PrimaCom cooperate for network upgrade

25 Nov 2013

German regional cable operators Unitymedia and PrimaCom have teamed up to provide high speed internet, fixed telephony and television services in Noervenich, situated in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Around 2,100 households in the municipality will be able to access the internet at download speeds of up to 150Mbps, following the rollout of EuroDOCSIS 3.0 technology. The network upgrade forms part of an agreement signed between Unitymedia, owned by US company Liberty Global, and PrimaCom for the rollout of high speed services to 44,000 homes in North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse. Under the contract, PrimaCom’s networks in Hesse were upgraded towards the end of 2012.
