QSC posts 5.5% decline in Q3 revenues

QS Communications (QSC), a provider of ICT and telecoms services to small- and medium-sized enterprises in Germany, has announced it generated revenue of EUR113.8 million (USD152.3 million) in the third quarter of 2013, compared to EUR120.5 million in the year-ago period. Direct sales (custom ICT services) accounted for EUR52.4 million (an increase of 5.9% year-on-year), while indirect sales (modular design product portfolio including DSL and telephony) reached EUR30.9 million in 3Q13 (down 3.7%) and resellers revenues (preliminary products for ISPs, carriers and resellers, and open access platform) totalled EUR30.5 million, down 21.6% compared to the year-ago quarter, mainly as a result of market and regulatory effects. QSC said that its Outsourcing, Consulting and Networking business won contracts totaling EUR44.7 million in the quarter. The Cologne-based company said that EBITDA for the three months ended 30 September 2013 decreased slightly to EUR19.4 million from EUR20.4 million in Q3 2012, while consolidated net income fell from EUR7.3 million to EUR4.7 million over the same period.
