8 Nov 2013

SaskTel has received a secondary extension to its Wireless Broadband Internet (WBBI) spectrum to 31 March 2015, granted by Industry Canada to allow customers served by 43 wireless towers across the province more time to transition from the legacy WBBI service. SaskTel’s WBBI customers served by twelve other wireless towers scheduled to receive TD-LTE ‘Fusion’ internet services will be moved over by March 2014 as scheduled, while the Saskatchewan telco will consider additional locations for Fusion internet following this initial deployment.
