T-Mobile extends MetroPCS LTE coverage to 15 new markets

MetroPCS, a subsidiary of US wireless giant T-Mobile US, has announced that it will expand its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) footprint to 15 new markets across the country, raising its total number of markets covered to 45. In an official statement, chief operating officer Tom Keys noted that the latest expansion is ahead of schedule, adding that the carrier is ‘on an aggressive path to being the number one pre-paid brand in the nation’.

From 21 November MetroPCS will offer LTE connectivity over parent company T-Mobile’s network in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Las Cruces (New Mexico); Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus (Ohio); Denver and Colorado Springs (Colorado); El Paso (Texas); Fayetteville (Arkansas); Indianapolis, South Bend and Fort Wayne (Indiana); Louisville and Jefferson County (Kentucky); Oklahoma City and Tulsa (Oklahoma); Phoenix and Tucson (Arizona); Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania) and Portland (Oregon).
