Sprint adds 45 new LTE markets for a total of 230

US mobile giant Sprint has announced that it has extended the coverage of its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to 45 new markets, taking its LTE footprint up to 230 cities. New locations covered include Lexington, Kentucky; Pensacola, Florida; Santa Ana/Anaheim, California; Spokane, Washington and Tallahassee, Florida. In addition, the carrier notes that it has expanded its existing LTE coverage into Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island (New York).

According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, Sprint already offers LTE technology in major cities as Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami and San Juan (Puerto Rico).
