Telenor Hungary boosts LTE to 150Mbps

11 Oct 2013

Magyar mobile operator Telenor Hungary has upgraded its Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to support maximum theoretical download speeds of 150Mbps. The company says the upgrade has been made possible by the addition of 20MHz of spectrum in the 1800MHz band following the country’s spectrum contract extension, and that the new peak speeds will be available across almost 25% of the territory by the year end, serving more than 100 locations, including Miskolc, Veszprem and Szeged.
