Reunion-based fibre-optic broadband provider Zeop has achieved downlink transmission speeds of up to 100Mbps in a laboratory setting, Dom-Tom ADSL reports. The telco currently offers 35Mbps fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband speeds on a commercial basis, but has long promised to implement an upgrade to its ZTE-built network.

According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, monthly subscriptions are priced at EUR49.90 (USD67.73), and include unlimited broadband access as well as unlimited voice-over-internet protocol (VoIP) calls to 60 destinations and access to 60 IPTV channels.
