Moov Niger rolls out mobile money service

United Arab Emirates-based telecoms group Etisalat is expanding its mobile money service ‘Flous’ to the West African nation of Niger. Etisalat owns wireless network operator Moov Niger via its wholly owned subsidiary Atlantique Telecom. Bizcommunity reports that the new service, which is offered in cooperation with Banque Atlantique Niger, will enable Moov customers to use their mobile phones to pay for good and services, transfer money to family and friends, withdraw and deposit cash, and manage bank accounts. ‘Niger is a really promising market with a strong potential for mobile commerce services and Etisalat Moov is committed to bringing our customers the best commercial services the mobile market has to offer,’ commented Mohamad Bader, managing director of Moov Niger.
