Golan and Partner sign antennae sharing deal

7 Oct 2013

Israel’s newest mobile network operator Golan Telecom has reportedly inked a deal under which it will share masts and antennae with its more established rival Partner Communications, according to Globes Online. No financial details regarding the agreement, nor information regarding its duration, were mentioned, however.

As noted in TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, in October 2011 Golan was said to have signed a similar roaming deal with the market’s largest cellco by subscribers, Cellcom. Golan inaugurated commercial 3G services over its own network in May 2012, at which date it was confirmed that it would use Cellcom’s infrastructure to ensure wide-ranging coverage whilst it continued construction.
