Digicel has announced that its operational unit in Antigua and Barbuda has expanded its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network with the installation of a new site serving the Gunthorpes, Lightfoot, Sea View Farm and Potters community. The units’ chief executive Victor Corcoran said the deployment would improve access for many of the population living there noting that: ‘Earlier this month, we completed a customer satisfaction survey calling hundreds of our customers and were very encouraged by the results with 85% of people describing themselves as either happy or very happy with our service.’

Digicel launched 4G in Antigua and Barbuda in November 2012, initially via a network of 15 cell sites. Today, with the addition of the aforementioned areas, it now has 25 base transceiver stations (BTS) in operation.
