Vodafone denies signing LTE base station pact with TIM

According to a number of unverified Italian press reports, Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM) and Vodafone Italy, are considering working together on an initiative to share LTE base stations in towns that are home to less than 35,000 people. However, a Vodafone representative has poured scorn on the rumours, instead suggesting that site-sharing agreements on passive antennas are already commonplace within the Italian wireless sector, and no new agreement has been forged between the two players.
