According to an unconfirmed report by MegaZap, a blog focusing on French overseas territories, French broadcaster Canal Plus Overseas, which is owned by the Vivendi Group, is in talks to increase its stake in triple-play provider Mediaserv from 51% to 100%. Previously, in June this year Canal Plus acquired the controlling stake in the operator from the Loret Group; no purchase price was confirmed.

According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, Mediaserv is a triple-play provider operating in the French overseas territories of Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Iles du Nord (Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthelemy) and Reunion. It was established in 1994 as a corporate internet service provider (ISP), but has gone on to carve itself a niche within the residential sector.
