Orange taps Ericsson for M2M platform

Orange Business Services (OBS) has announced that it will add Ericsson’s machine-to-machine (M2M) platform to its own offering in a bid to secure multinational M2M contracts. The companies have reportedly struck an agreement that will see the Swedish vendor provide its Device Connection Platform service, enabling Orange to deploy, scale and operate millions of M2M connections in multiple countries. The platform is complemented by OBS’s global IP network, which reaches 220 countries.
