Virgin Media Business introduces 4G over EE infrastructure

18 Sep 2013

Virgin Media Business has announced the launch of 4G services over the network operated by the UK’s largest cellco by subscribers, EE. In revealing the new service, which the cableco said will be offered as part of its complete range of telecoms services, Virgin Media Business noted that it is able to offer superfast mobile broadband speeds to over 60% of the country. Citing the benefit of its new offering, the company claimed that its ‘Business Mobile’ plan was an ideal option for those businesses looking to ‘reduce costs and move towards fixed and mobile convergence’. Virgin Media Business’s mobile offering provides those customers that sign up with mobile voice and data connectivity, while also including other features such as: mobile email services; online portals for support and billing; and telephone support for users and customer administrators.

Commenting on the development, Virgin Media Business’s director of products and marketing Duncan Higgins said: ‘We’re simplifying things for our customers by being the single supplier for all their telecoms needs … With 4G, you can get more done, work flexibly and bring your professional applications together on a single device. Remote working is now the norm and adding 4G to our services increases our customers’ options for working in a way that suits them.’
