One millionth Bell mobile TV subscriber

18 Sep 2013

Wade Oosterman, president of Bell Mobility, has announced the one millionth subscriber to Bell Mobile TV, which offers mobile access to over 40 channels of live and on-demand programming. Oosterman declared: ‘Bell invited consumers to pick a screen and fill it with goodness – and a million Canadians have now done so with Bell Mobile TV on their smartphones and tablets … Live broadcasts are a key driver for mobile TV, led by sporting events but also the major awards shows, TV season finales and special events like the Toronto International Film Festival that people want to watch wherever they may be … Bell Mobile TV is uniquely easy to access too – Bell enables customers to watch mobile TV without impacting their regular data usage.’ Mobile TV is available as a bonus with many Bell Mobility data plans, while any Bell customer with a smartphone and a data plan can add mobile TV viewing as a CAD5 a month add-on, without affecting the data usage in their plan. Integration of mobile content into the recently launched Bell TV Anywhere app also enables Bell TV customers (satellite or IPTV) access to an additional 70 live and on-demand channels on their tablets and smartphones.
