Amis adds VoD, catch-up to multi-screen service

16 Sep 2013

Slovenian and Croatian ISP and IPTV provider Amis is launching additional features on its Zappware-based ‘TV everywhere’ video content service, adding video-on-demand (VoD) and catch-up TV services to its existing multi-screen service on tablets, smartphones and PCs, and additionally enabling these second-screen devices to remotely control the content on the subscriber’s main TV screen. The VoD, catch-up and remote control features will be deployed as upgrades to Zappware’s TwinTV and Nexx products on Android and iOS smartphones and tablets, PCs and Apple Macs, and on set-top boxes supplied by Zappware’s partner Albis Technologies, while an additional upgrade will allow Amis to offer its linear TV channels to subscribers via smart TVs, using a connected TV variant of Zappware’s Nexx product.
