Xavier Niel sells 3% of Iliad Group to private investors

French telecommunications company Iliad Group has announced that its major shareholder Xavier Niel has sold 1.736 million of the company’s shares for EUR300 million (USD395.91 million) on a private placement basis. BNP Paribas acted as leader and book-runner for the deal. According to a press release, the sale of approximately 3% of the company’s capital ‘enlarges the free float of the company’. Xavier Niel remains the majority shareholder, with a 55.3% stake.
