ITC inks IPLC/MPLS agreement with PCCW Global

Saudi Arabian broadband service provider Integrated Telecom Company (ITC) has signed an inter-carrier interconnection agreement with Hong Kong-based PCCW Global to offer International Private Leased Circuits (IPLC) and global Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) services in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. According to a press release, the two companies also plan to co-operate on the deployment of additional services, including management and content services. ITC’s vice president of wholesale, business sales and solutions Georges Jaber, commented: ‘Partnerships with global industry leaders like PCCW Global [are] a key step for our growth and an important part of our commitment to provide superior connectivity solutions for enterprise and government projects with the added capacity for global expansion.’

According to TeleGeography’s CommsUpdate, PCCW Global is an operating division of Hong Kong’s HKT, which is majority-owned by PCCW Limited. Covering more than 1,800 cities and 120 countries, the PCCW Global network supports a portfolio of integrated global communications solutions which include Ethernet connectivity, IP solutions, fibre and satellite transmission capabilities, managed services, and voice over IPX (VoIPX) services.
