Converged communications services provider Neotel has revealed that it intends to introduce 4G LTE technology on a commercial basis on 21 August, but has declined to provide any further details relating to its plans. As previously reported by TeleGeography’s CommsUpdate, in May this year CEO Sunil Joshi noted that coverage will initially be centred on the Gauteng region, where the company is deploying 50 LTE-enabled base transceiver stations.
