EE not expected to list before next year, Orange Group says

France’s Orange Group has said that a planned initial public offering of the UK’s largest cellco by subscribers, EE, will not take place before 2014 with a view to allowing the operator to show financial improvements. Reuters cites Orange Group chief financial officer Gervais Pellissier as saying of the plan to list: ‘We have mandated banks with the aim of doing an IPO of 30% of EE, but neither owner Deutsche Telekom or ourselves are in a rush,’ adding: ‘We prefer to give the team at EE time to present the whole year of 2013 results to the markets so the IPO, if we do it, will be in 2014 and not before.’
