Vodafone Qatar reported a net loss of QAR85 million (USD23.3 million) in the three months ending 30 June 2013, having narrowed losses from QAR118.3 million in the same quarter of 2012. In the three-month period – the first quarter of Vodafone Qatar’s financial year – revenue increased by 31% year-on-year to QAR459 million, according to a bourse statement reported by Reuters. Sales growth was driven by a 30.5% y-o-y growth in the mobile customer base to 1.146 million at the end of June, while ARPU remained stable at QAR123.
