RCOM and TTSL ink tower sharing deal

23 Jul 2013

Dual-technology cellcos Reliance Communications (RCOM) and Tata Teleservices (TTSL) have signed an intra-circle roaming agreement, under which RCOM will use 5,000 TTSL GSM towers across 14 circles whilst TTSL will utilise the same number of RCOM’s CDMA towers. The Economic Times writes that the arrangement is part of a bid to cut costs and boost coverage and is the third such deal signed by RCOM, which recently agreed similar pacts with Aircel and Loop Mobile.
