Life’s a beach: Omnitel triples 3G seaside coverage

Lithuania’s largest mobile operator by subscribers, Omnitel, has tripled coverage of its third-generation (3G) network in coastal areas, including Sventoji, Kretinga, Nida, Juodkranteje, Giruliai and Priekuleje. In addition, the TeliaSonera-owned company said it has improved 3G network coverage and quality in and around the capital Vilnius, including Kernave, Maisiagala, Nemencine, Sumskas and Medininkai. Omnitel’s 3G services are now available in around 400 towns and cities across the country, while its 4G LTE network covers Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai and Panevezys.
