Taiwan’s Chunghwa Telecom has reported revenues for the three months to end-June 2013 of TWD55.79 billion (USD1.87 billion), up 2.6% on the same period last year. Accumulated revenues for the first six months of the year stood at TWD112.41 billion, up 2.3% year-on-year. For the month of June Chunghwa said sales climbed 2% to TWD18.71 billion, but there was an 11.8% y-o-y drop in net income for the month to TWD3.51 billion. The telco has reported 2.83 million fibre broadband subscribers at the end of June, with just over one million of these having connections of 50Mbps or above. The firm also claimed 3.17 million mobile internet subscribers at the same date, with mobile broadband revenues surging 31.5% y-o-y for the month of June.
