11 Jul 2013

Germany’s largest cable operator, Kabel Deutschland, has announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with utility companies Tegernseer Erdgasversorgungsgesellschaft (TEG) and Elektrizitatswerk Tegernsee (E-Werk) for the expansion of high speed internet services in the Bavarian town of Tegernsee. The three firms will collaborate on the construction and rollout of a DOCSIS 3.0-enabled fibre-coaxial cable network, which will be able to provide high definition (HD) TV services and maximum download speeds of up to 100Mbps to around 14,000 homes in the area from spring 2014.
