ProInversion sets USD63m price tag for LTE licences

ProInversion, the government body charged with the promotion of private sector investment in Peru, has set a reserve price of USD63.384 million for two licences for Long Term Evolution (LTE)-suitable spectrum. Four bidders have been pre-qualified to compete for the spectrum, namely: Movistar, Claro, Americatel Peru and Viettel Peru. The frequencies for sale are in the paired 1710MHz-1770MHz and 2110MHz-2170MHz bands and the concessions are valid for 20 years. Bidding for the licences closes on 22 July.
