ITC and Du sign PoP agreement

2 Jul 2013

Saudi Arabia-based broadband service provider Integrated Telecom Company (ITC) and UAE-based Du (Emirates Integrated Telecommunication Company, EITC) have signed an agreement to set up a multi-service Point of Presence (PoP) at the carrier-neutral international transit and content hub centre Datamena in Dubai, Trade Arabia reports. According to the article, the PoP platform will allow ITC to create a Network-to-Network Interface (NNI) with regional and international service providers that already have a PoP presence in Datamena.

ITC’s vice president Georges Jaber said: ‘Interconnecting with major regional providers is a key step to growth and an important part of our commitment to provide superior connectivity solutions for enterprise connectivity projects with more capacity for global expansion; Carrier Neutral hubs such as Datamena are a core enabler for us to meet this commitment.’
