Chunghwa subsidiary inks MVNO deal with Sprint

CHT Global, the US subsidiary of Taiwan’s Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), has announced that it has signed a contract to operate as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), piggybacking on the network of US wireless carrier Sprint Nextel. The MVNO will use Sprint’s nationwide 3G and 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) data networks to provide traveling business professionals with wireless connectivity. Under the name CHT Global Mobility, the contract-free service consists of a per device monthly access fee of USD5.99, including a 100MB data allowance.
