FNB considering MVNO tie-up with Cell C?

19 Jun 2013

South Africa’s First National Bank (FNB) is in discussions with local wireless operator Cell C to become a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), MyBroadband.co.za reports. Citing ‘two independent sources’, the online journal says that the two parties are in discussions about an MVNO agreement, noting that a positive outcome is likely. The website notes that FNB is already offering its banking clients discounted mobile devices, including tablets and smartphones, and by becoming an MVNO it can ship these devices with its own FNB SIMs included.
