19 Jun 2013

Hardware vendor Ceragon Networks has announced a deal with Tajik mobile network operator Beeline Tajikistan. Under the terms of the agreement between the two companies, Ceragon will provide its Evolution Long Haul backhaul platform with a view to enabling Beeline to maintain and develop its 3G data and voice services across Tajikistan. Further, Ceragon claims its solution will serve to increase the capacity of the network, while improving connectivity between the country’s major cities and with neighboring countries. Commenting on the deal, Ilya Chulyukin, CTO of Beeline-parent VimpelCom’s Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) division, said: ‘Our past experience with Ceragon made them the best choice when we started searching for a partner with whom to build our 3G wireless backhaul network … After an extensive review of the market, we realised that with Ceragon, we’ll be able to meet the high-quality voice, video and data demands of our ever expanding customer base.’
