Rural NetCo picks Polystar’s network and quality assurance solution

18 Jun 2013

Polystar, a leading supplier of service assurance, network monitoring and test solutions for the telecoms industry, has implemented its network and quality assurance solution on Tanzanian communications company Rural NetCo’s network infrastructure, PRNewswire reports. The telecoms service provider hopes the initiative will help it to improve telecoms access in rural and underserviced areas of the country, as it looks to foreground its recently deployed high speed (shared) mobile broadband access network there. Rural NetCo is looking to exploit its new shared network concept in Africa by supplying access to a wireless broadband system that serves other operators via a single multi-standard network, providing an affordable service in remote parts of the country. To date, Rural NetCo has expanded its 3G-based wireless coverage to 23 regions throughout Tanzania, it said.
