SSTL expands EV-DO network in Rajasthan

Russian-backed cellco Sistema Shyam TeleServices (SSTL), which operates under the MTS India brand, has announced the launch of its 3G wireless data service MBlaze in 31 new towns in Rajasthan. The expansion brings the total number of towns and cities served by SSTL’s CDMA2000 1xEV-DO network in the Rajasthan circle to 90. Ashish Bhatia, the head of SSTL’s operations in Rajasthan commented: ‘MTS is focused on expanding its high speed data network across the country … This latest expansion will enable MTS data customers to experience state-of-the-art high speed data services including Live TV and Video-on-Demand (VoD).’
