VIPnet buys Metronet’s residential infrastructure, plus two cable networks

Croatian cellco VIPnet, part of the Telekom Austria group, has announced three acquisitions in the fixed telecoms and pay-TV segments. The company has purchased a 100% ownership stake in cable operator OKI, which covers the capital Zagreb, as well as the cable infrastructure of KTS in Sibenik, and the residential telecoms infrastructure of corporate-focused operator Metronet in Zagreb and Dubrovnik. 27,000 households are covered by the assets purchased, according to VIPnet’s release.
