Vodafone Germany has said that its Long Term Evolution (LTE) network covers around 80% of Cologne, with indoor coverage of the city standing at around 50%. The UK-owned company revealed that 4G services are available in numerous districts of the North Rhine-Westphalia city, including Innenstadt, Raderthal, Ossendorf, Nippes, Marienburg, Lindenthal, Ehrenfeld, Bickendorf, Poll, Mulheim, Gremberg, Deutz and Buchforst. With around 5,600 base stations providing coverage of 66% of the country’s territory, Vodafone’s LTE network is available in 160 towns and cities with a population of over 50,000, including all 81 of Germany’s cities that have more than 100,000 inhabitants. In total, around 50 million people are able to access the firm’s 4G services.
