TEO LT has SMP in wholesale broadband access market

3 Jun 2013

Lithuania’s incumbent fixed line operator TEO LT has been recognised as having significant market power (SMP) in the wholesale broadband access market, the company has announced. The market includes the provision of wholesale broadband access services using DSL, fibre-to-the-home (FTTH), fibre-to-the-building (FTTB), Local Area Network (LAN) and Ethernet technology. As an SMP operator, TEO is obliged under the Law on Electronic Communications to provide access to other companies, and to follow obligations of non-discrimination, transparency, price control, cost accounting and accounting separation. Fulfilling the obligations, the company says it has published a public offer to provide wholesale broadband access.
