Telekom Slovenije’s Q1 EBITDA drops 8%

Slovenian group Telekom Slovenije has posted its first-quarter results, showing that it generated operating revenues of EUR190.5 million (USD247.5 million) in January-March 2013, down 1.7% on the same period of last year, while operating profit (EBIT) amounted to EUR20.3 million, down by EUR2.5 million or 11% year-on-year. EBITDA reached EUR62.97 million in Q1 2013, down by 8% year-on-year, while group quarterly net profit amounted to EUR14.5 million, up by EUR851,000 on the same period of 2012.

Fixed and mobile operations in Slovenia accounted for EUR157.0 million, or 82% of total group revenues in Q1 2013, down from EUR162.9 million in Q1 2012 (when domestic revenues represented 84% of the total). The next largest contributors to turnover were fixed and mobile operations in Macedonia (FYROM) and Kosovo plus other Slovenian interests.
