Lanka Business Online reports that Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) has soft-launched VDSL2 broadband services following a demonstration of 90Mbps-plus data speeds to Sri Lanka’s telecoms minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya at a regional office in Kegalle. To support high speeds over VDSL2-enabled copper lines, SLT is deploying fibre-to-the-node (FTTN) under its i-Sri Lanka project.
