23 May 2013

Orange Armenia, a wholly owned subsidiary of France Telecom-Orange, has launched an unlimited voice calls plan, dubbed ‘With each other’, which enables users to create a ‘community’ with up to three other mobile users to talk on an unlimited basis for AMD20 (USD0.05) per day. The offer is available to pre-paid users and to people on its Butterfly, Dolphin and Panther monthly subscription plans. Commenting on the initiative, Orange Armenia CEO Francis Gelibter, said: ‘Thanks to this new offer, all our customers are getting the possibility to talk [for an unlimited time] with those people whom they are calling the most, independently whether they live in Yerevan or in the regions … Those who join Orange or are already our customer will be able to talk with [close friends and family] as much as they wish for a small daily fee’.

Orange Armenia launched its mobile voice and internet services on 5 November 2009 across the whole of the Republic of Armenia. To date its French parent has overseen investment of USD322 million in Armenia (including its licence fees) and now provides voice and data coverage in 600 cities, towns and villages, serving more than 95% of the population.
