Digiweb joins fibre broadband party; promises max. 70Mbps service

21 May 2013

Digiweb, the Irish alternative telecoms operator which recently purchased UK-based Viatel to create an enlarged pan-European group with revenues of USD78 million, has announced the launch of its next generation fibre broadband services in Ireland. Digiweb’s new ultra-high speed offering will allow customers to access the internet at peak download speeds of 70Mbps, with prices starting at EUR39.99 (USD51.40) per month. Further, the altnet is launching a ‘Broadband Talk’ service with each fibre broadband package, which it claims could save customers up to EUR120 a year on line rental.
