16 May 2013

German telecoms company Deutsche Telekom, which operates under the brand Telekom Deutschland in its domestic market, has signed a long-term contract with NetCracker Technology, a subsidiary of NEC Corporation, for the ongoing support and maintenance of the billing solution for its fixed network in Germany. Telekom is also using NetCracker’s Telecom Operations and Management Solutions (TOMS) suite to provide an end-to-end, next-generation solution that encompasses Order Management and OSS. The solution includes resource and service fulfillment, order management, data management, and operations support capabilities to enable faster time to market and fixed-mobile convergence. ‘Deutsche Telekom is deliberate in our selection of strategic software providers that are able to help us further our vision of product and service personalisation, convergence, and flexible automation,’ said Dr. Torsten Minkwitz, senior executive vice president for Architecture and Transformation, Deutsche Telekom IT.
