Drillisch post-paid base up 7.4%

13 May 2013

German mobile service provider Drillisch has reported total turnover of EUR74.7 million (USD97 million) for the first quarter of 2013, an 11% decrease from EUR84.2 million in the year-ago period, as service revenue fell 7.2% year-on-year to EUR69.9 million. Adjusted for the effects of the sale of pre-paid accounts in May 2012 and a reduction in mobile termination rates, service revenue increased by EUR2.8 million, or 4.1%, to EUR71.6 million. The company said that consolidated EBITDA rose 9.5% year-on-year to EUR16.2 million in the first three months of 2013, while EBIT was relatively stable at EUR13.7 million, compared to EUR14.0 million in Q1 2012. At 31 March 2013 Drillisch reported a total of 1.851 million customers (a decrease from 2.427 million a year earlier), of which 173,000 were pre-paid users (down from 865,000 million at end-March 2012, following a clean-up and partial sale of its pay-as-you-go customer accounts base) and 1.678 million were post-paid subscribers (an increase of 7.4% from 1.211 million in 1Q12).
