The planned auction of Brazilian cable TV companies Adatel Osasco (based in Sao Paulo) and Adatel Sao Jose (in Santa Catarina) – both affiliated with regional telco Sercomtel – has been postponed until 15 May, Telecompaper reports without citing its sources. Two firms are believed to be lining up to bid for the cable TV operators, Viacom-backed Blue Interactive Group and Net Servicos; the latter of which has reportedly called for the delay, although no reasons have been given. If and when the auction goes ahead, the two cablecos are expected to raise in the region of BRL20 million (USD10 million); Adatel Osasco has a reported 10,400 pay-TV and 12,100 internet subscribers, while the second firm has roughly 8,400 cable TV users and 8,997 internet accounts.
