Digicel Saint Kitts & Nevis has announced that it has inaugurated ‘4G’ mobile technology to 96% of the country, claiming that its launch represents the first of its kind in the Caribbean nation. Compatible handsets are available from just USD199, with daily data packages staring at USD2.99. Despite branding its new data network ‘4G’, Digicel’s infrastructure actually supports 3.5G HSPA+ technology, which is capable of offering download speeds of 21.1Mbps.
In the Saint Kitts & Nevis mobile sector Digicel competes with LIME, UTS Cariglobe and 21st Century Telecom.
