Alternative Polish broadband operator Netia has announced that, following a series of tests over the past year, it has introduced 100G technology on a commercial basis. In a blog post detailing the development the operator confirmed that it had launched a 100G link between two Cisco CRS-3 routers in Warsaw, while also noting that it had created a 100G link between Warsaw and Lodz. Looking ahead, Netia has also revealed plans to run 100G links between Alcatel-Lucent-supplied Carrier Ethernet routers at two major hubs in Warsaw.
