Leaked Sprint memo points to 21-city LTE launch later today

According to a leaked company memo published by PhoneArena.com, US mobile operator Sprint Nextel is expected to unveil its Long Term Evolution (LTE) network in 21 new markets later today. Areas set to experience connectivity are listed as: Los Angeles, Contra Costa County (both California); Palm Bay, Port St Lucie and West Palm Beach (all Florida); Bloomington and Lafayette (both Indiana); Rochelle (Illinois); Mankato-North Mankato (Minnesota); Joplin (Missouri); Charlotte, Shelby, Albemarle, Sailsbury and Lincolnton (all North Carolina); Memphis, Greenville and Tullahoma (all Tennessee); Denison and Kerrville (both Texas); and Norfolk-Virginia Beach (Virginia). According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, Sprint inaugurated its LTE network on 15 July 2012, in 15 cities.
