Carlos Slim, the world’s richest man, has reportedly boosted his holding in Latin American telecoms giant America Movil, Reuters reports, citing a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). It is understood that Slim’s stake in the Mexico-based company had increased to almost 31% by last month, including shares held through a trust for the Slim family as well as other shares held by two of his other companies; the report notes that Slim and his family and businesses have acquired approximately 500 million America Movil shares since October 2012.
