Mexico’s consumer protection agency, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office for the Consumer (Profeco) has filed a class action lawsuit against incumbent telco Telmex for unduly charging its customers for certain services which the agency claims should be free, reports AFP. Telmex charges fees for services including a privacy calling option, a phone directory and incoming/outgoing call information, which Profeco said should be free as a ‘constitutional right’.
